Prerequisites:

This program is open to students who have completed prerequisite courses Intermediate Accounting I and II (or equivalent), Cost Accounting, Taxation and Auditing.  

Curriculum for the Graduate Certificate in Accounting

The graduate certificate consists of three or four core courses and one or zero elective courses (9-12 credit hours). Core courses include:

  • Government and Non-Profit Accounting 
  • Advanced Cost Management
  • Taxation of Business Ethics
  • Financial Accounting Theory and Research
  • Advanced Auditing and Audit Analytics

Students who complete the certificate and choose to pursue an MBA degree or MS in Accounting degree would need to apply for, and meet the requirements of, those respective programs.
