About The Program

Building on the success of our Summer 2020 Virtual GE2, we are very pleased to announce that we will offer a Virtual GE2 Workshop in March 2021 - April 2021. This year’s Spring workshop will be built around a timely theme: Building an Entrepreneurial Venture Post Covid-19. We invite your students and faculty to attend this Workshop.

This event will be more intensive than what was conducted this past summer and is designed to cover essentially all of the material we would normally address in a 2-week physical workshop. Over the course of 6 weeks, one-day a week, student teams will be exposed to entrepreneurship concepts, receive mentoring, conduct customer discovery work, assemble a global venture plan and participate in a venture pitch contest. As part of this, students and their teams will have a multidisciplinary, multicultural experience.

  • Students will participate in a virtual workshop with other students from 15+ countries
  • Work on your ideas - Big or Small
  • Learn about Entrepreneurship and Develop an Entrepreneurial Mindset
  • Understand Different Cultures and more!
  • All In Virtual Mode
  • Pitch Contest

Application Deadline: March 5, 2021

  • Building an Entrepreneurial Venture Post COVID-19

Students are asked to submit venture ideas in advance of the workshop. We will then build teams around the ideas. The pandemic has impacted society in so many profound ways. How have you personally and your part of the globe been impacted? Think creatively. Some general topic areas could include concepts related to:

    • Economic recovery
    • Social media & networking
    • Information technology
    • Hospitality industry and travel
    • Lifestyle
    • Health care delivery/digital health
    • Any business idea you can think of that would fit with our post pandemic theme

    Participants will:

    • Learn how to build a venture
    • Interact with students from across the globe
    • Attend a virtual tour of a technology firm and a venture incubation hub
    • Learn from guest speakers
    • Receive a certificate for completing the program

Best of all, the workshop will be free for participating students! Classes will be held on Fridays over a six-week period starting March 20. Each 3-hour class will consist of instruction, followed by project work and team mentoring. We will be forming teams, there will be interactive class activities, team exercises, etc., just as we do in physical workshops!

    Attendance Requirements:

Students must attend all sessions, actively contribute as part of group activities, and participate in the pitch contest to receive a certificate.
