Undergraduate

The OIS concentration gives students the:

  • knowledge to effectively use Information Technology (IT) in organizations 
  • knowledge to help organizations gain competitive advantage with IT 
  • skills and techniques to design and develop OIS
  • ability to comprehend the role of various information systems like databases, e-commerce, telecommunication and others in organization

A concentration in OIS prepares you for a wide range of information systems professions, from IT Help Desk to Systems Analyst to a Chief Information Officer with salaries higher than many other professions.

Our highly qualified faculty are committed to our students’ learning. They will provide them with the knowledge and ethical framework needed to enter and progress in professional careers.

A concentration in Management Information Systems (MIS) will prepare our students for careers that include IT Support & Help Desk Services, Database and Network Administration, E-Business and Enterprise Systems Support.

A concentration in Analytics and Operations Management (AOM) will give understanding of the complex web of activities, people and organizations needed to deliver products and services to customers, from small retailers to large Fortune 500 corporations.


Course Work

The OIS coursework is supplemented with an internship program, directed study and the activities of the OIS Club. Students are also encouraged to take computer science and math courses in their freshman and sophomore years to be better prepared for the OIS concentration.
