Hellenic American University is an American university that is chartered in the state of New Hampshire. It was established as a non-profit, United States institution of higher education on May 11, 2004 through passage of an Act of the General Court of the State of New Hampshire and is regularly monitored by the competent regulatory authority (Higher Education Commission).

Hellenic American University is accredited by the oldest American accrediting body, the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). Hellenic American University (HAU) / College is monitored and accredited in terms of its instructional sites, programs and degrees awarded through both its Nashua and Athens campuses.
Housing
For study abroad groups the University can arrange moderately priced, wifi-equipped accommodations at a number of smaller boutique-style hotels or apartments with which it regularly cooperates. University housing is also available for students desiring such accommodations. Hellenic American College is well served by a large number of cafés, bakeries, bistros, and take-away/fast-food establishments in the immediate area, as well as by restaurants in all price ranges.
Study Abroad Fee
NOTE: This is a Direct Enroll Exchange Program. All tuition and fees, room and board, and other expenses to be paid directly to the host institution, or by other arrangement. Additionally, students will be charged the UMass Lowell Study Abroad Fee during the term they go abroad.
The Campus
Hellenic American College is located in downtown Athens, within easy walking distance to many of the city’s museums and galleries, theaters, and concert halls. The campus is easily accessible by metro and major bus and trolley lines.
Hellenic American University is home to about 500 students, 15% of whom are international students. The College is located in downtown Athens, within walking distance of many of the city’s museums, concert halls, clubs and theaters, as well as numerous cafés, galleries, and restaurants.
