Chantal Cole, DNP, started her nursing career 18 years ago as a registered nurse in Nashua, NH on an Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. After completing her master's program in 2011, she joined River College as adjunct faculty, then joined the University of New Hampshire in 2012 as adjunct faculty. In 2015, her family moved to France for three years so her career took a backseat, but upon return to the states, she went back to the University of New Hampshire as adjunct faculty and joined full time in 2019. She taught in the undergraduate nursing program, to include senior immersion, leadership, fundamental skills, obstetric simulation and a discovery course called "Making Babies." She decided to make a change in 2024 and move to UMass Lowell to continue educating future nurses and is currently teaching "Introduction to Nursing Assessment," "Introduction to Nursing Practice" and "Senior Immersion Practicum" experience.
In addition, Chantal became the coordinator of the Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science (RN-BS) program in November, 2024 and this program launched in Spring, 2025. She is heavily immersed in this program, creating courses and advising students throughout the program.
She continues to practice clinically, having been a labor and delivery nurse for 18 years and is now focused on a school/office nurse setting. In her spare time, she loves being a mom to three children, a wife and keeping busy on the ocean in the summer and skiing in the winter.
