Free Wheeler Station Information

Currently Free Wheelers are only available for checkout at the Campus Recreation Center (CRC) and are available to rent mid-March through Mid-December, weather permitting. Free Wheeler bicycles must be returned to the CRC by 7 p.m. daily or earlier depending on current operating hours.

Summer 2026 Hours (May 2 - August 29, 2026)

  • Monday - Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday - 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Summer 2026 Holiday Hours and Closures

  • Monday, May 18 - Monday, May 25: Closed

Independence Day Weekend

  • Friday, July 3 : 6:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5 : Closed

University Snow Closures

  • The CRC will close when the university is closed for snow over winter break.
  • When the university is closed for snow during the semester, closures or adjustments to CRC or Riverview Fitness Center (RFC) operating hours will be posted on the UML Campus Recreation Instagram page.
