The use of the Campus Recreation Center (CRC) and related facilities is intended for the students, faculty, and staff of UMass Lowell (UML). The CRC is a controlled access facility. Authorized users include full-time undergraduate and graduate students, full-time faculty and staff, adjunct faculty, part-time staff, and matriculated part-time and continuing education students.
UML alumni, or immediate family members 18 years and older living in the same house as UML alumni, students, or faculty and staff are eligible to purchase a CRC Membership. Anyone from the general public 55 years and older is eligible to purchase a CRC Master’s membership. Approved affiliate groups of UML are eligible to purchase a CRC membership.
Only authorized users, guests of authorized users, and approved groups are allowed to enter the facility. Authorized users must have a valid UML UCARD or pay the appropriate guest fee to enter the CRC or related facilities or participate in related programs as determined by Campus Recreation.

Authorized users are required to follow all Campus Recreation policies and procedures. Please review the various facility and departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) listed below.
Our Fitness Center SOPs are created with these basic principles in mind:
Photography and videography are permitted in Campus Recreation facilities for personal use, with the exception of restrooms, locker room spaces, and during group fitness classes. All personal photography and videography are strictly prohibited in these spaces and classes.
Taking photos and videos must be done in a safe manner, must not interfere with Campus Recreation operations, and must not disrupt other patrons' activities.
Taking photos or videos of patrons without their consent is strictly prohibited. Campus Recreation staff reserve the right to ask any patron to cease taking photos/videos if they suspect a policy violation. Any violation is cause for immediate removal from Campus Recreation facilities and possible suspension or revocation of membership.
"For personal use" is defined as photo and video of yourself or consenting friends obtained in an informal manner. Cameras with interchangeable lenses as well as tripods are not permitted for personal use.
Please contact Marketing and Communications by phone: 978-934-3224 or email: media@uml.edu for any commercial photography/videography requests. All commercial requests will be coordinated and approved in collaboration with University Office of Marketing and Communication.
Appropriate attire is required in all Campus Recreation facilities, programs, and activities.
Customers are responsible for picking up their bicycles, equipment, and purchases within 14 days of being notified that service is complete or purchased items have arrived at the bike shop.
After 14 days, a storage fee of $25 per week will apply.
If items remain unclaimed for more than 60 days, they will be considered abandoned property. At that point, Campus Recreation will donate, recycle, or resell the item(s) at our discretion. We will make reasonable attempts to contact customers before taking any such action, using contact information provided on the customer account; we will notify the customer at the end of the 60-day period to confirm we consider the item abandoned.
