Free Wheeler Station Information

Free Wheeler bicycles must be returned by 7 p.m. daily or earlier depending on location operating hours. Current Free Wheeler stations include the Campus Recreation Center (CRC) and Bike Shop / Outdoor Center. Free Wheelers are available to rent mid-March through Mid-December, weather permitting.

  • Summer Hours (Through August 29)

    • Monday - Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
    • Saturday and Sunday: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

    University Snow Closures

    • CRC opens at 10 a.m. during semesters and is closed during winter break.
    • Check the UMass Lowell website for hours during a state of emergency.
