I love how friendly people are here. Everyone is more than willing and eager to help someone who needs it. - What are your future academic and/or career goals?
I hope to become a pediatrician. - What has being involved with the River Hawk Scholars Academy meant to you?
It has created a fun and loving community of friends and support. - What inspires you to support RHSA and/or first-generation students?
As a first-generation student, it can sometimes be overwhelming and kind of scary to go into college, but I felt very supported when I entered RHSA, so I wanted to give back and provide that support to someone else. - Looking back, what advice would you give to yourself in your first year of college?
Take it easy and prioritize you, your health, and your sleep. If you're a planner like me, and like to make to-do lists, make sure you make a list of tasks that is manageable and doable for the time that you have. - What does it mean to you to be a first-generation college student?
Being a first-generation student means that I have overcome unique struggles which have shaped who I am as a person.
