I would tell myself to talk to the people in my classes a lot earlier.
What advice would you give fellow students?
Don’t skip classes no matter how unimportant they seem.
Why did you choose to attend UMass Lowell?
The two main reasons I came to UMass Lowell were for the excellent education and cost.
What does it mean to you to be a first-generation college student?
To me, being a first-generation college student means taking a step in advancing your family's wealth and education not only for you but for future generations as well.
What inspires you to want to help first-generation students in the RHSA?
What inspires me to help first-generation students is the feeling that I need to pay it forward. My peer leader was such a big part of me transferring from home life to college life that now I feel almost obligated to do the same for other students who might not have parents who went to college as well.
