The UMass Lowell access control system is an advanced security platform that allows for the scheduling of doors and parking gates on campus.
All building entrances, parking lots, and some suites/rooms can be scheduled by the UCAPS Office to ensure they are only unlocked/open when needed and secured when not.
For building schedules we utilize BookIt! to determine when a building is unlocked and locked.
If you have reserved a class or event through this system, the building will be unlocked to accommodate this request without any additional requests. Academic buildings unlock one hour prior to the first class.
Parking gate schedules are determined by parking policy. For a listing of which lots open and when, please see the “open gates” section of our Parking Guide.
We encourage you make parking reservations for your events guests.
