Internal Funding Opportunities

The Office of Research Development offers several internal funding opportunities to support UMass Lowell faculty in advancing their research and scholarship.

The Office of Research Development (ORD) maintains lists of curated funding opportunities on GrantForward in several popular grant categories.

Hanover Research Grants Calendars

Hanover Research publishes monthly grants calendars organized by funding areas. These calendars include sponsors, upcoming deadlines, and brief descriptions of funding opportunities. You must have UMass Lowell (UML) credentials to access the OneDrive folder with monthly Hanover Grants Calendars.

Please check eligibility for each opportunity of interest; these lists are curated for a range of universities and institutions and UMass Lowell may be ineligible for some.

Funding Through Halo

UMass Lowell (UML) participates in Emerge, a program supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to help universities connect with industry partners and expand research collaborations. As a part of this initiative, UML has access to Halo, a platform where researchers can discover industry-sponsored funding opportunities.

Funding for Minority Serving Institutions

UMass Lowell is a Minority Serving Institution (MSI), designated as an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) by the U.S. Department of Education. Learn more about the funding opportunities and resources provided by various sponsoring agencies to MSIs.
