Biosketch

Vijayendra Kumar joined the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) in May 2015. Vijayendra comes to this position with 11 years of extensive industrial and academic experience in the field of Organic/Polymer/Material Chemistry as well as in-depth and well-documented research expertise. Prior to joining OTC, he worked at Polnox Corporation as Senior Scientist for 7 years and as Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Chemistry at University of Massachusetts Lowell for 4 years. During his research career, he has been directly involved in the process of developing the technology from “bench to commercialization.” He is an inventor of 17 issued US patents and has published 16 scientific publications in peer reviewed journals. Also, he has authorship in a book chapter.

Vijayendra is responsible for technology evaluations; agreement reviews, negotiation and execution; patent prosecutions; protection and commercialization of intellectual property arising at UMass Lowell.
