Enhance Worker Engagement and Well-Being with the Total Worker Health Facilitator Training

Do you want to sharpen your facilitation skills for leading effective, inclusive meetings?
The Total Worker Health Facilitator Training Course equips you with the tools and expertise to lead a collaborative design process focused on employee well-being. Guided by the Center for the Promotion of Health in the New England Workplace's (CPH-NEW) team of engagement experts, you'll learn how to implement TWH concepts using the Healthy Workplace Participatory Program (HWPP).
Upon completing the course, you'll be prepared to lead discussions on improving workplace safety, health, and well-being—even in remote or hybrid work settings.
What You'll Learn:
This interactive training includes hands-on modules designed to develop your facilitation skills and deepen your understanding of:
- HWPP design proces, including how to use the IDEAS Tool
- Facilitative leadership strategies
- Building skills for effective facilitation
- Creating supportive, inclusive spaces
- Role-playing the HWPP design process as workers
- Leading the HWPP design process in real-world scenarios
Training Details:
Pre-requisites:
- Completion of the Center's Introduction to TWH Principles eLearning course
- Submit your certificate of completion by email to: Serena_Rice@uml.edu
Pre-work to complete before the first session:
- Watch Facilitation Skills Training Videos 1–8 (24 minutes total)
- Review the HWPP IDEAS Toolkit
- Complete the facilitation skills self-assessment survey
Requirements:
- A working camera and microphone for active participation in Zoom sessions
- Attendance at all three sessions to complete the course
Schedule:
- Sessions are held on the first three Wednesdays of the month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Eastern Time).
- Class size is limited, and registration is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis
Cost:
- The course is offered at no cost

- Professionals with responsibility for workplace programs related to occupational safety, health, well-being
- Worker leaders who advocate for workplace safety, health, well-being
- Anyone who is interested in implementing the the HWPP in their workplace
- Those who have implemented the HWPP but want more experience implementing it virtually
Certificates of Completion:
- Certificates will only be provided to participants who attend all three sessions.
