It is your responsibility to maintain legal status at all times and to report any significant change in employment before the change. Example of reportable changes include: change in job title, job duties, job location, number of hours per week, as well as change in supervisor or department. Any UMass Lowell issued work authorization only permits you to work at the physical UMass Lowell campus, under the conditions of your work petition. Update your US Address with USCIS within 10 days of each change as well as UML HR Direct. Be sure to keep your HR Direct Emergency Contact information current at all times.

Travel Information

Contact three weeks before any planned travel outside of the US. This will ensure that you are provided with the proper travel and re-entry documents. Below sites are intended to help keep you informed for any upcoming travel.

F-1 and J-1 employees should contact the International Office who issued you the Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 for all of your travel and immigration related advice.
