Biosketch

Mr. Gabriel received his Masters of Music from the Longy School of Music and his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Composition, graduating cum laude, from the Berklee College of Music. In addition to a busy freelance career in settings ranging from jazz and blues to electronic and orchestral music, Mr. Gabriel leads his own ensembles performing original music throughout New England. His debut recording, Blueprints, was released by Creative Nation Music Productions (www.cnmpro.com) in February 2005. He is a former student of Donald Palma and Charlie Banacos.

Along with his studio bass teaching and directing the University of Massachusetts Lowell Jazz Lab & Ensemble Performance ensembles, he is on the faculty of the Community Music Center of Boston.
