Preparing students for a future in biomedical, biopharma and medical devices industries

The first undergraduate Biomedical Engineering degree offered by a public university in Massachusetts, the UMass Lowell Biomedical Engineering Program prepares students for careers in the medical device, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical markets. The undergraduate Biomedical Engineering Department was established in 2016 in an effort to address the growing demand for biomedical engineers, especially in Massachusetts, which is a leader in the medical device industry. While striving to provide students with the skills they need to succeed, the program creates opportunities for students in research, co-ops/internships and careers.
