Partners and Discounts

The UMass Lowell (UML) Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP) works closely with several community partners to offer programs to our students, faculty, staff and alumni. In some cases we have negotiated special opportunities or discounted rates that apply for the UMass Lowell Community on an ongoing basis. We are always trying to grow this offering. Indoor Climbing:

MetroRock - Littleton, Mass.

• Discount membership rate when joining as a member of the UML Indoor Climbing Club.
• Student rates for Annual memberships, 10 punch passes, day passes and college night (Friday after 3 p.m.). Discounts apply to students, faculty and staff valid in person with UMass Lowell ID.

Downhill Skiing: 

Ikon Pass

If you're into skiing, you'll want to check out the Ikon Pass! As a current student at UMass Lowell (UML), the Outdoor Adventure Program is able to offer you a promo code for a discounted rate on the already-low Ikon Pass prices. This pass has several choices, giving you access to a few days or many days at multiple mountains in the US, as well as internationally. Nearby mountains include Loon Mountain, N.H.; Sugarbush, Vt.; Stratton, Vt.; Killington-Pico, Vt.; Sunday River, ME; Sugarloaf, ME; and Windham Mountain, N.Y.

The small print: UML students can request a free single use promo code by emailing Kate Ford at: kate_ford@uml.edu. Your request should come from your UML school address and include your birthday and your current class schedule (including your name). Not available to faculty, staff or non-UML students. Passes are available to sell until November 30, 2023; pricing is subject to change.

Pats Peak Mountain

Discounted Ski and Snowboard Lesson, Rental and Lift Ticket vouchers available for Pats Peak from the UMass Lowell Outdoor Center and Bike Shop during the Winter Season with UML ID.

Winter 2022-23 details:

• Available to all UML students, faculty and staff with valid ID.
• Limit 6 discount vouchers per person at a time. Only available to buy in person at the UML Outdoor Center and Bike Shop.
• Once the voucher is bought, you must make an online reservation at Pats Peak. Book your reservation as early as possible; many times, especially weekends, holidays and school vacations, tickets sell out.
• Once bought, the paper voucher is your responsibility. This is a discount ticket, and you should treat it as you would cash. You must bring it with you to the mountain.
• These vouchers are not refundable or able to be exchanged.
