Biosketch

My name is Yarialbys Perez Bonnilla, but I prefer to go by Yaris. I’m a freshman at UMass Lowell double majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology. I’ve always been passionate about fairness and helping others, and my dream is to become a lawyer so I can stand up for people who need a voice. I love connecting with others, listening to their stories and trying to make their day a little brighter. Outside of school, I work at a dance academy with kids—they’re full of energy and always bring so much joy to my week. I’m also part of the Latin American Student Association because I love sharing my culture wherever I go, and I’m excited to join the Social Justice Center to continue learning how to advocate for others and make a difference in my community.
