Girls exploring artifacts. Exploring the Immigrant Experience (Grades 4-6) examines the experiences of immigrants who settled in New England. Working with primary sources – oral histories and artifacts – students look at elements of the immigrant story, such as the decision to leave, the journey, hardships, assimilation, and preserving culture. Students explore how immigrant groups have helped to shape American culture.

Program Details:

This program is offered October - June (90-minute program).

Fees per class of 30 students: $150 for first in-school program, $100 for successive same-day program.

Teacher must be present in classroom during the program.
