Grade 7 – Earth and Human Activity
MS-ESS3-4. Construct an argument supported by evidence that human activities and technologies can be engineered to mitigate the negative impact of increases in human population and per capita consumption of natural resources on the environment.

High School – Earth and Space Science

HS-ESS3-3. Illustrate relationships among management of natural resources, the sustainability of human populations, and biodiversity.

  • Understand that statistics can be used to gain information about a population by examining a sample of the population. Understand that random sampling tends to produce representative samples and support valid inferences.
