In 2008, the campus community came together to articulate a vision of UMass Lowell in the year 2020 and to map out a blueprint to get there. What emerged was a thoughtful vision and a set of detailed goals — crafted with the help of more than 200 faculty, staff and students, and informed by feedback from the entire campus. In April 2009, the 2020 Strategic Plan was released. In subsequent years, the plan was updated and benchmarked.
