Tom Conroy, State Representative for the 13th Middlesex District
Tom Conroy is the third-term State Representative from the towns of Lincoln, Sudbury and Wayland. The first Democrat elected to serve this district in more than 40 years, Conroy ran un-opposed for his third term in 2010. He has compiled an extensive legislative record and currently is vice-chair of the Joint Committee of Health Care Financing.
Conroy has significant experience in the business, non-profit and government sectors, including 16 years as a risk management consultant, a stint on the staff of U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), and, under contract with the U.S. State Department, he worked in refugee camps in Southeast Asia and Haiti. He worked on behalf of refugees, the poor and the persecuted seeking to resettle in the United States.
Conroy launched his Senate bid on June 2nd and then completed a 650-mile “Town to Town Walk” across the Commonwealth in his quest to become “The voice of the People” in the U.S. Senate.
