Biosketch

Michelle Markey has served the Department of the Army for 30 years, during which time she has worked in the areas of electrostatic dissipative materials, electromagnetic signature reduction, body armor, load bearing equipment, vision protection for physical and electromagnetic threats/hazards, and hearing protection. She is a co-inventor of U.S. Patent No. 8,365,619 "Assembly and Method for Evaluating Effectiveness of Anti-Fog Coatings on Eyewear Lenses," and has authored multiple publications. Markey is currently a Project Engineer at the US Army DEVCOM leading applied research projects in the areas of vision and hearing protection.
