Biosketch

Josh Goodrich serves on active duty in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He enlisted in the Infantry in 1992 and earned his commission from Army ROTC in 1999. He graduated from the Engineer Officer Basic Course and earned the Assistant Commandant’s Award and the Reserve Officer/National Guard Top Graduate. He served as a platoon leader, executive officer, and commander of Company B, 181st Engineer Battalion (Combat)(Mechanized). In 2003, he deployed to Kuwait for Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 379th Engineer Company (Combat Support Equipment). In 2004, Josh entered active duty with the Massachusetts National Guard as the Training Officer, 726thOrdnance (Maintenance) Battalion, and transitioned to Administrative Officer 126th Brigade Support Battalion serving in the Logistics Branch. In 2009 Major Goodrich was reassigned as the Executive Officer 101st Engineer Battalion, The Nation’s Oldest, and deployed to Baghdad, Iraq. While deployed, the battalion conducted construction effects operations for US and Iraqi forces throughout the United States Division-Center area of operations. Following the deployment, Major Goodrich served as the battalion’s executive officer, and S3. Josh commanded the 101st Engineer Battalion and served as the Deputy Commanding Officer for the 26th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade. Awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Assault Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Silver). Josh earned a Masters of Science in Administrative Studies from Boston University, an MBA from Touro University International, and B.A in French from Worcester State College. He is a doctoral candidate with the Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. His military education includes Command & General Staff College Intermediate Level Education, Army Engineer Captains Career Course, Ordnance Officer Branch Qualification Course, and Reserve Components Multifunctional Combat Service Support (RCMCSS) Course. Josh is an adjunct instructor in Project Management at Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
