Biosketch

Farhana is a first-year doctoral student at the department of Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation. While a junior in college, she founded an e-commerce venture that serves customers over three continents. Beyond her commercial ventures, she is committed to empowerment, dedicating herself to training female entrepreneurs and developing future leaders in brand strategy and communication. Her professional experience in the global south included working for BRAC to assist socio-economic reintegration of returnee migrants, corporate banking at BRAC Bank & IDLC PLC. She also brings experience in English as a Second Language (ESL) tutoring and volunteering with refugee rehabilitation organizations in Utah.

Farhana is focused on research at the intersection of entrepreneurship, climate change adaptation and the dynamics of entrepreneurial risk-taking.
