Through UMass Lowell’s International Experiences and Study Abroad office, you can choose from for-credit opportunities, including faculty-led programs, exchange programs and partner-led programs around the world. UMass Lowell students have studied in more than 25 countries, and the university has partnerships with 120 institutions globally.

Whether you want to study abroad for a week, a summer, a semester or longer, there are options that can fit your academic goals and schedule. Programs may include coursework, internships, service-learning and other immersive experiences.

Why Study Abroad?

For business students, study abroad can be especially valuable because it brings global learning to life and helps you better understand how organizations, markets and consumers operate across borders.

Studying abroad can help you:

  • See firsthand how business works across different cultures and markets
  • Build the global perspective employers in every industry are looking for
  • Develop real adaptability, confidence and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Expand your professional network well beyond the region
  • Come back with experiences you'll be talking about long after graduation

Here are a few examples of the kinds of global learning experiences you may be able to explore through the Manning School of Business:
