Immersive Scholars for Business Students
Learning Beyond the Classroom
The Immersive Scholars program gives selected UMass Lowell students the opportunity to take part in meaningful hands-on experiences that go beyond coursework.
Immersive Scholars are pre-selected first-year applicants who receive a merit award to participate in approved experiential learning opportunities at UMass Lowell.
What Is the Immersive Scholars Program?
Immersive Scholars can use the award during the summer before sophomore year or during the sophomore academic year. The program is designed to support experiences that connect classroom learning with real-world engagement and personal growth.
Students in the program may use the award in one of three ways:
- Work on research, scholarship or creative projects with a UMass Lowell faculty or staff member
- Work with a community organization or government agency in the Lowell area
- Participate in an approved international experience through UMass Lowell Office of International Experiences and Study Abroad.
