Biosketch

Barbara is a seasoned financial executive, having served in very senior roles at several Wall Street investment banking organizations as well as held C-level positions at clean energy and technology companies. In her role as Managing Partner of CapW, she is dedicated to enabling founders of tech-based companies solving big problems with massive market opportunities to succeed through providing high value-add advice that maximizes their ability to scale via targeted fundraising from optimal strategic, venture, and other capital sources.
Barbara received her Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Boston University and her MS in Finance from the Sloan School at MIT. In addition to teaching Entrepreneurship at UMass Lowell, she has been a senior lecturer at: MIT Sloan School, Babson College, and Boston University. She also lectures/presents to TechStars cohorts, LearnLaunch cohorts, BU Faculty, The National Venture Plan Competition, and the University of Massachusetts on how to create a winning pitch deck and how to present it.
Barbara also teaches entrepreneurship to underserved high schools in the greater Boston area as part of the NFTE program. And she mentors at: EforAll, Learn Launch, MIT, and John T. O’Bryant High School in Boston.
