Parking

UMass Lowell employees are eligible to use designated parking facilities. All information about parking on campus can be found on the UCard, Access and Parking Services Office (UCAPS) website. 

Library

Employees are eligible to use all the library facilities at no cost. Please check with the UMass Lowell Library for the hours of operation for the Lydon and O’Leary libraries and the Center for Lowell History. 

Campus Recreation Center & Riverview Fitness Center

The UMass Lowell Campus Recreation Center (CRC) on East Campus and Riverview Fitness Center on South Campus are available for use by employees at no cost. Campus Recreation provides a broad spectrum of quality sport, recreation, and leisure programs and services. Immediate family members 18 years and older may purchase a membership to the CRC. Please visit the Campus Recreation website for family membership rates and additional information.

Direct Deposit

All UMass Lowell employees have access to log in to HR Direct to perform self-service functions such as managing direct deposit configurations. For more information, please see the HR Direct Job Aid on Direct Deposit (pdf).  

Holidays

UMass Lowell observes the legal holidays as defined by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Human Resources Division. A list of legal holidays is available online, including those that fall on Saturday or Sunday.

UMass Lowell Closings

UMass Lowell employees can be notified of cancellations and closings by phone, text or email. Sign up for the UMass Lowell Emergency Alert System. Login using your email address and password.

Credit Unions and Banking

Employees may become members of the State Employees Credit Union or the Five College Credit Union by visiting the Human Resource Office. Additionally, there are a number of banks that offer employees free checking accounts through the UMass Treasurer's Office. Direct Deposit forms (doc) can be used to have payroll earnings sent directly to your bank or credit union. 

UMass Club Membership

Faculty and staff membership pricing is available to all full-time faculty and staff throughout all five campuses of the University of Massachusetts to the UMass Club in Boston. The faculty and staff initiation fee of $300 is waived with a one-year commitment. And the monthly dues is discounted from $50 to $40, a $10 dues credit for 24 months. And there are NO DUES for the first six months. Request an application online.
