Kate Wallace, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT, received her Masters of Physical Therapy degree (2004) from the University of New England. Her passion for orthopedics led her to pursue a two-year residency training program at the Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, where she became a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists. Kate continued her training and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree (2010) from Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Institute of Health Professions. Kate specializes in orthopedics, with a strong background in both clinical practice and education. Her commitment to mentorship led to her role as a Laboratory Instructor for MGH Institute of Health Professions for over a decade, in addition to her work as a clinical instructor since 2010. She created the role as student clinical coordinator of education for two separate clinics to support and facilitate effective relationship building and communication between the physical therapy clinic, student, clinician, and university. She enjoys collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care. Finally, Kate is looking to pursue additional training in the field of research. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys being active outdoors with her family and friends.
