Parents and family members can sign up for this portal themselves by visiting the River Hawk Family Portal, no student information is needed.
This will be the first portal your student is introduced to as they apply and are admitted to UMass Lowell. This portal will feature an Admitted Student Checklist with important action items for your student to complete prior to the start of the fall semester. The portal will have important tasks and deadlines, so it's necessary your student reviews and completes this checklist. Once your student is enrolled in classes and the semester starts, they should transition to using SIS as their primary information portal.
UMass Lowell's student information system, SIS, is used for everything from registering for classes, paying the bill, and viewing financial aid packages. All of your student's academic records and personal information is stored in SIS. If you would like to view your student's academic information or financial information, your student can set-up a guest account for your through USHARE.
USHARE is a guest account students can create for their parents or family members that will grant access to their student SIS. Guest access allows you to view the areas of your student's record they have authorized, including their bill, student account information, and academic information. Your student is the only person that can grant access to their information, so it's important to discuss this with your student.
The NOW Dashboard is a user-friendly interface that provides mobi9le-friendly access to class schedules, grades, holds, open to-do items, parking garage availability, Campus Recreation Center use, shuttle bus tracking, dining hall menus and the student mosaic builder. This is a centralized location for many aspects of student life.
The Student Health Portal is a patient portal where your student's health records are stored and is managed by the Office of Health Services. If your student is new to UMass Lowell, this is where they will upload their required health documents and vaccination records.
The Online Housing Portal contains all information regarding your student's on-campus housing. This is where your student will submit their housing application each year, choose their room during housing selection, and find the email contact for their future roommates.
Your student will receive an @student.uml.edu email address. This is the primary way the university communicates with your student, so it's important to encourage your student to check their email regularly.
