Description

This course is designed for students who want to learn to effectively and creatively communicate complex scientific topics with a diverse and general audience. Students will grow their science communication skills through written, visual, and oral presentations, They will analyze and produce traditional and modern communication mediums such as news articles, blogs, TED-type talks, and social media posts. This interactive course is discussion and project-based with most, if not all, work completed in class. This course specifically focuses on communicating science topics with the public and does not teach how to construct research articles for scientific publications.

Prerequisites

ENGL.1020 College Writing II, and Kennedy College of Science Majors.
