Biosketch
Before coming to teach at UMass Lowell, Joanne Carota was employed in the aerospace and defense industry. She has written freelance for local newspapers and small journals and is on staff at Solstice Literary Magazine. In her view, the art of teaching includes the ability to positively affect student attitude, connect with students and guide them to open doors of knowledge.
