The Francis College of Engineering at UMass Lowell is excited to have you on board!
The Research, Academics and Mentoring Pathways (RAMP) program is a summer jumpstart for incoming students, including women and racial and ethnic minority students, designed to help you design a pathway to successful graduation that also includes a profile of extracurricular activities such as research experience, entrepreneurship and community engagement.
Starting July 8 and ending August 15, this six-week program will allow you to earn your first six credits toward graduation. But it's much more than early enrollment. We will also help you build skills such as programming, technical writing and communication while providing your very first research opportunity with a professor on campus. You will meet women engineers and alumni and hear about their pathways to successful careers. Finally, we will take you to leading companies in metro Boston to get a first hand look at the diversity of engineering jobs.
We pack all of this into five pre-scheduled days, 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., each week — with your weekends off. Lunch will be provided.
The cost of RAMP is approximately $2100 and you may be eligible for scholarships provided by UMass Lowell's generous partners and supporters.
Information on your application to RAMP will determine your eligibility for this support.
