Research Interests

Epidemiology of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (MSD); assessment of physical and psychosocial stressors in the work environment; contribution of working conditions to socioeconomic disparities and gender differences in health; and effectiveness of workplace safety and health interventions. Within CPH-NEW, she has led multiple analyses of physical and psychosocial stressors in the healthcare work environment and the development of operational criteria for TWH that emphasize worker participation in defining and solving workplace problems. Her team has also evaluated work organization factors as predictors of resident care quality in long-term care facilities, and how healthcare worker burnout is affected by lack of safety practices and policies.
