Event Medical Standby Coverage

UMass Lowell Emergency Medical Services provides medical standby coverage for sports games, special events, parades, fairs, festivals, regattas and other community events, subject to staffing availability.

As a Class V BLS ambulance service, UML-EMS can meet the medical support needs of most events.

Rates and Requirements

UMass Lowell EMS offers competitive detail rates:

  • $75 per hour, per provider
  • Minimum of two EMTs per detail
  • Three-hour minimum per detail, unless otherwise approved by the Director
  • At least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations

Response vehicles, specialty vehicles (including Kubotas) and bike patrols may also be available upon request.
