Dedicated to Inclusion and Belonging

We are staffed by a caring team of diverse, multidisciplinary clinicians and doctoral interns in clinical psychology. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and affirming community where all members of the UMass Lowell community feel safe, valued, seen and respected.

We embrace and celebrate diversity in all its forms and commit to support students of all backgrounds. We value the intersectional identities of each individual and recognize the centrality of culture and relationships to human development and psychological well-being.

We recognize the suffering that oppression and discrimination may cause. In addition, we understand the role that prejudice and bias have played in the development and perpetuation of the systems within which our students exist, including the mental health field. With this in mind, we strive to provide psychological care that is culturally responsive and affirming.

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is an ongoing process. We engage in regular and ongoing training to grow our awareness and clinical skills related to bias and inclusion.

We would like to acknowledge that the land we live, work, learn and commune on is the original homelands of the Pennacook communities with the Pawtucket Village and Wamesit Village.
