Biosketch
As a native son of Lowell, Tony Sampas is devoted to saving its history for present and future generations to explore. Alongside UMass Lowell Library's Archives and Special Collections staff, he works to preserve and share resources that capture Lowell and UMass Lowell’s innumerable stories—be they large or small, spoken, textual or visual. Tony believes that narratives are vital in defining our identities and have been an essential part of the community's revitalization. Tony supports maintaining the integrity of the recorded evidence so that it can be accessed, enjoyed and properly attributed.
