Overview of the Process
Students in the oral presentation track who are selected to continue to the final round based on evaluations from the first round of videos will be asked to present live to a panel of judges at the Student Symposium on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
Live presentations should be no longer than five minutes. Students are welcome to present similarly to their video presentations or they may update as necessary. A panel of 3-5 judges will be evaluating each live presentation. Judges will have the opportunity to ask questions about technical aspects of their projects, learning experiences, and personal and professional growth.
Students will have the opportunity to submit slides for their presentation. If presentation slides were used for the video, students may choose to use the same slides for their live presentation. We will also accept new or updated slides. Instructions to submit slides will be included in the email notification to finalists; notifications will be sent out no later than Tuesday, March 26, 2024.
