Cybercrime, Cybersecurity, Big Data, Media, Immigration, Comparative criminology, sociology.
Global media and immigration (crossborder mobilities of people, knowledge, culture). While she’s developing research projects on big data, linking online and online behaviors, she is currently interested in understanding mechanisms and networks of deviant behaviors at state and individual-levels that are facilitated by cyber-resources and/or are located in cyberspace.

Biosketch
Prior to joining UMass Lowell, Claire Lee was an Assistant Professor and was an affiliated faculty in the Immigration & Multiculturalism Graduate Program at Inha University. She has also worked in the educational, media and legal sectors in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul, Singapore and was based at UMass Boston’s Asian Studies and Sociology. She was a volunteer instructor for the Prison Teaching Initiative in Incheon, South Korea.
