Research Interests

The development of expertise in auditing is multifaceted and Dr. Cassandra Rohland’s current research interests center on examining how individuals learn complex accounting and auditor concepts and processes and how novice auditors develop expertise. Of particular interest to her is the role that varying types of feedback at different stages of development play and the interaction of this with learner characteristics such as mindset, learning style, and leadership style.

Biosketch

Cassandra Rohland holds her Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Bentley University, a Masters of Accounting Science from the University Of Illinois, and a PhD from the University of Connecticut. Rohland is a Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston. She is a member of the American Accounting Association and the American Institute of CPAs. Rohland is a co-founder and serves as a Director for the Triathlon Club of New England.

Rohland has published in the Journal of Forensic Accounting, in Advances in Accounting, Finance, and Economics, and in Issues in Accounting Education.
