Faculty members who are considering sabbatical leaves for academic year 2027-28 are encouraged to visit the Sabbatical website and select “Sabbatical Leave of Absence Application” to begin their application process.
The 2026 DocuSign sabbatical application portal is open Oct. 1–10, 2026.
Since the transition to the digital DocuSign application process in 2022, faculty need to submit sabbatical applications through DocuSign exclusively; applications submitted through other platforms will not be accepted.
Department chairs and deans are asked to share this timeline with faculty and encourage eligible faculty members who are considering a sabbatical to log into DocuSign and submit their applications.
