Welcome back to another year at UMass Lowell! Whether you’re a first-year student arriving on campus for the first time, a graduate student beginning a research project or a faculty member setting up course reserves, the UML Library staff is ready to help answer questions and connect you to the information you need.
This fall, library reference hours will be effective Sept. 9 through the end of the semester, excluding holidays and university closures. Please check the calendar on the Library website for the latest updates.
Students, faculty and staff can connect with reference librarians in several ways:
- Live chat: Chat with a reference librarian in real time Monday through Friday, 2:30–4:30 p.m. StartFragmentVisit uml.libanswers.com to start chatting today.EndFragment
- Research Consults: Make an appointment to meet with a reference librarian. Appointments are generally available Monday through Friday, but times vary. To check appointment times or book a session, visit uml.libcal.com/appointments. Please note that reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
- Email: If you cannot make live chat hours or a Research Consult, email the reference librarians at ask@uml.libanswers.com at any time.
