Open to both the public and the UMass Lowell community, the Kayak Center welcomes everyone—from first-time paddlers to experienced kayakers. We provide instruction and all necessary equipment, making it easy to get out on the water and enjoy the Merrimack River.
Regular hours are: Monday, Thursday and Friday: 3–8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday: 1–8 p.m.
Affordable rentals are available for all visitors, and we also offer guided tours, instructional classes, and monthly and seasonal passes.
There's no better way to enjoy the summer and experience Lowell from a new perspective!
Looking for a unique team-building activity? The Kayak Center can also host custom group tours for offices, departments, and other organizations. It's a fun and memorable way to spend time together outside the workplace.
