UMass Lowell's Office of Marketing and Communications has partnered with WebAIM (Web Accessibility in Mind), a national leader in digital accessibility for more than 25 years, to offer virtual accessibility training for the campus community.

With the April 26 federal deadline to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards, it is important that everyone involved in creating digital content understands their role in accessibility. This includes writers, designers, developers, editors and others responsible for web pages, documents and digital experiences.

Training will be offered in two sessions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a 1-hour break in each session. Attend one session or both, depending on your role.

Sessions:

  • April 21: Web and Document Accessibility Principles
Recommended for most faculty and staff who create digital content
  • April 23: Web Accessibility for Developers and Quality Assurance
Recommended for technical audiences, including developers and QA staff

We hope you can join us.

Please sign up for the training. You will receive a Zoom link via email.
