The UMass Lowell Core Research Facilities (CRF) Career Learning Experience Internship program provides a paid internship to undergraduate students majoring in any science or engineering program at UMass Lowell. Participating students must be entering their junior or senior year in Fall 2026.

Established by Earl Ada, former director of the CRF Materials Characterization Lab, the goal of this endowed internship is to enhance practical scientific skills and academic excellence, and to stimulate interest in laboratory management careers among our Science and Engineering undergraduate students. The selected interns will work with CRF lab managers to develop their skills and to learn the detailed aspects of running and managing the daily operations of various microscopy, biological and materials characterization laboratories within the CRF.

Applications are being accepted until March 13.Learn more and apply on the CRF website.
