Additionally, our FAQ cover hundreds of topics. We’re available and glad to meet with you over Zoom or in person to help with literature and systematic reviews.

Drop-in help with research experts is available at O’Leary and Lydon Monday – Wednesday afternoons from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Additionally, you can chat with a librarian Monday – Thursday evenings from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. and Friday afternoons from 1 – 3 p.m. Visit uml.libanswers.com to chat.

Resource Requests and Course Reserves

Is there content that your students need for their assignments? Is there a movie you’d like them to watch or a book to read? We’re happy to work with you to find accessible content. Please submit your requests on the Purchase Request form.

You can also put required readings and content on course reserves. Students will be able to check out physical items at either O’Leary or Lydon Library for a limited amount of time. We accept personal items if we don’t own it. To learn more or submit content, visit our Course Reserve page.

Support for Open Access Publishing

Effective January 2026, researchers affiliated with UML can publish open access in gold or hybrid open access journals published by Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press without paying Article Processing Charges (APCs). This benefit is part of two new subscriptions for the full library of journals published by Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press, adding 951 journal titles to the library’s collection.

For guidelines on publishing open access with these and other publishers, visit the Library Support for Publishing webpage. If you have questions, email Alice_Pearman@uml.edu, Assistant Director for Library Collections.
