Join the Center for Community Research & Engagement (CCRE) for our Community Thursdays event on Oct. 16 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at 150 Wilder St.
Our featured organization is Fortaleza, Inc., a valued organization in Lowell that works to advocate for the removal of structural inequities and barriers impacting the education of Latino students and to advocate for the elimination of Latino education opportunity gaps, including but not limited to: advocacy for increased Latino representation in the educational system; advocacy for access to equitable resources; and advocacy for the elimination of disparities.
Fortaleza’s mission is to catalyze collective action among parents, educators, community members and faith leaders to ensure educational equity and to remove systemic barriers impacting the education outcomes of Latino students.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to learn more about the vital work of Fortaleza and the types of collaborations they are interested in forming with our UML community.
There are amazing people doing important work in our community, both on and off campus. Join us for this informal conversation to talk about how we can support each other and collaborate to improve the lives of everyone in our community.
