Have you purchased donuts at Mochinut recently? Or do you bank at the Santander branch on Merrimack Street? Or work out at Choice Fitness at Central Plaza? All of these buildings (and more) are from the 1950s-1970s and marked a conscious effort to revitalize Lowell after the departure of the mills. Art and Design faculty member Marie Frank worked with Graphic Design majors Michael Page and Josephine Parsons to document and photograph these buildings through the Emerging Scholars Program.
An exhibition of some of their work is now on view at Mill 5, Fifth Floor, Jackson St., Lowell, MA
